Lose an hour in the morning, and you will be all day hunting for it! So goes the well known saying which holds true for almost every one of us. Amdavad wakes up quite early to punch in for the day, and is one such city that sleeps early and wakes up early to salute the rising sun. Tattoos and Gujarati women have a profound correlation since the time this art became illustrious. It’s one thing to have a designer body, clad up with your favorite images but it’s all together a different perception to get obsessed with a print and think that it will accompany you to the heaven! Indeed the Mer community in rural Gujarat has fixated the belief that tattoos are one of the most…

In today's economy, where most of the ventures are after profit and other financial gains, there are certain ventures that are concentrating on the social as well as intellectual aspects of the society. Here at Bookman, you can rent or purchase Books, Movies and Music. You are not obliged to buy what you want for a specific period of time. The USP of Bookman Library is they can deliver the items to your doorstop, anywhere in Ahmedabad. They have around 500 members, that too without any promotions and advertisements. You would be surprised to know that Bookman has just completed one year this March.

To be a member of this Library, one needs to pay an amount of Rs. 3000 per year (or Rs. 2500 for non-home delivery plan) and they can subscribe up to 100 items per year, maximum three items at a time. That comes to only Rs. 30 per item. They have a decent collection not only for the youngsters, but also for elders and children as well. Loads of Encyclopedias and informative books can be subscribed by children to invest their time in reading instead of playing outside in the scorching heat of Ahmedabad.

The main aim of the venture is not to churn profit, but to contribute to the society on a larger scale. They work on a simple ideology: to earn, re-invest and provide education and facilities to the less fortunates. They organize several events with the children to spread awareness and educate them about their social responsibility towards the society.
