The Kirti Mandir is the commemorative plaque of the Gaekwads in Vadodara. It is also referred as the Temple of Fame.
The monument was established by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III to disseminate the glorious memory of his ancestors. The temple is beautifully designed with the sun, the moon and the earth in bronze. An undivided map of India adorns the sikhara of the Mandir. The temple also houses paintings done by Raja Ravi Varma showing various phases of battle of Mahabharata.
The temple is an interesting place to understand some of the epical moments of the past.
